A Local Area Network (LAN) is a network of linked computers and/or peripherals (e.g., printers) that are confined to a limited area that may consist of a room, building, or campus that allows users to communicate and share information; can be utilized as an intraoffice communication System to provide Data Transmission in addition to voice transmission.
