Acceptance Angle

(1) A ruggedized Duplex Fiber optic Cable assembly featuring rigid plastic Connector Shell and integrated Strain relief boot. (2) The maximum angle within which Light will be accepted by an element, such as a Detector or waveguide. In the latter, it is quantified as half the Vertex Angle of the cone within which Optical Power may be coupled into bound Modes of a fiber. Also called acceptance cone.

Ideal for Frequent Use: Timbercon Armadillo cable assemblies are ideal for applications requiring performance, durability and longevity. The Armadillo connector features a rugged plastic shell and integrated Strain Relief boot, protecting the fiber and Connectors from damage, strain, and the rigors of daily use. Durable Design: The Armadillo Cable Assembly design was based on the strengths and attributes of the Armadillo Loopback. Like the Armadillo Loopback, the Armadillo Cable Assembly is capable of enduring the rigors of daily use while maintaining a high level of performance. Rugged construction, quality components, and strict Tolerance ensure every Armadillo cable assembly will meet or exceed your requirements.
