Custom overmolding from Timbercon provides a ruggedized solution to the need for strong transitions required for certain projects. Heat shrink transitions are often the most vulnerable segments of a fiber optic connection, but Timbercon overmold transitions can strengthen that connection. As one solid piece of equipment, molded plastic is far stronger than conventional heat shrink transitions. When rugged projects require specific configurations of cable to connect to a device, Timbercon overmold transitions provide a solid connection between your devices.

Available with OM2, OM3, OM4 or single mode fiber, Timbercon uses only the highest quality components to design and manufacture breakout cables to your specification. You define length, connectors and breakout configurations, or we will help design it for you.

In addition to offering breakout styles from 900µm to 3.0mm fiber cable outer diameter (OD), we also offer different transition options based on your mounting and space requirements. Timbercon’s custom overmold design allows us to print your logo on the transition and produce the most rugged cable assemblies in the industry.
