Timbercon Announces Immediate Availability of the New Armadillo LC Product Line

LAKE OSWEGO, OR – December 28, 2004 – Timbercon, Inc. announces availability of the completely redesigned Armadillo LC fiber optic cable assembly and the Armadillo LC optical loopback adapter, the second generation of the company’s signature Armadillo product originally launched in 2001.

The new Armadillo LC cables and loopbacks feature a number of improvements and advancements over the previous version. Both the Armadillo LC cables and the Armadillo LC loopbacks feature a ruggedized plastic shell, integrated long throw thumb release with anti-slip grips, LC unibody connectors, full seam ultrasonic weld, definable attenuation level, and inset label pocket. Additionally, the Armadillo LC cable has an integrated strain relief boot and additional color options,

The new Armadillo LC cable and LC loopback redesign have incorporated multiple shared attributes between the two products. By developing the second generation Armadillo LC products to utilize several of the same construction features and attributes, we have been able to streamline the manufacturing process, tighten quality control standards, and produce product with better performance and increased durability, commented Eric Meslow, President of Timbercon.

The new Armadillo LC cables and LC loopbacks are available in single mode 9/125um, multimode 50/125um, and 62.5/125um in industry standard colors, with custom colors available upon request.
