Immediate Availability of Armadillo Cable Assemblies

PORTLAND, OR – March 10, 2003 – Timberline Connectivity, a leader in the fiber optic assembly and component manufacturing industry announces immediate availability of SC and LC Armadillo Cable Assemblies. Based on the Armadillo loopback adapter, this connector utilizes the same safety and ergonomic considerations for cable assembly and pigtail applications. Used extensively in lab, data storage, and test configurations these connectors have become an industry standard for loopback and cable assemblies.

The Armadillo connector features a ruggedized shell protecting the fiber optic connections from being snagged, twisted, or broken. In addition to its durability, the user friendly color-coded shell provides easy identification of cable assembly attributes.

The Armadillo cable assembly is also available in both multimode and single mode with variable, customer-specified, levels of attenuation. Lastly, the Armadillo cable assembly is engineered with the customer in mind by providing the user with built in pull or thumb release on the armored shell.
