Timbercon Develops New Custom-Engineering and Product Development Services

Timbercon, Inc., the fiber optic product and solution manufacturing company providing a vast array of connectivity solutions, today announced new custom engineering and custom product development for customers. These services are designed to assist customers in creation, planning, design, and manufacturing of custom fiber optic product solutions to improve performance and longevity for their application.

Custom product solutions are often more efficient, cost-effective, and a higher performance alternative to standard products. Timbercon’s new services assist the customer through the entire process, from concept and development to manufacturing and implementation.

The expanded services build on Timbercon’s existing engineering and development services, and follow the recent addition of research and development facilities designed to provide resources focused on application specific and custom projects.

“More and more of our clients are requiring a custom-engineered product designed for their specific application,” said Jayson Lizardo, Product Manager for Timbercon. “We’re finding an increasing number of applications where a standard product alternative is just not performance and cost-effective for our clients, and we’re listening to their needs by upgrading our services.”

Timbercon offers a myriad of services for product development and custom engineering services including: application product design, COTS (commercial off the shelf) product customization, product re-certification, and product installation/implementation.

Timbercon will be exhibiting at OFC/NFOEC in Anaheim, CA March 7-9, 2006 at booth #1810. To schedule a briefing, contact Bruce Manning.
