Mandrel Wrapping
A technique used to modify the Modal Distribution of a propagating optical Signal in Multimode Fiber optics; consists of a specified number of turns of fiber wrapped on a cylindrical rod, also known as a mandrel, depending on the fiber characteristics and the desired modal distribution.
