Quasi CW Laser

A Laser that generates a succession of Pulses at a high enough repetition rate to appear continuous. The pump Source is switched on for short intervals, nominally equal to the Lifetime of the Population Inversion of the Gain medium, during the continuous operation of the laser. This results in a lower Duty Cycle which reduces heating and achieves higher output powers.
