Timbercon Announces a New MTP®-MPO Shuttered Adapter
LAKE OSWEGO, OR — August 20, 2009 —Timbercon, Inc., a fiber optic products and services company providing a vast range of connectivity solutions, announce the immediate availability of a new MTP®/MPO shuttered adapter. Timbercon is widely known for their production of MTP®/MPO cable assemblies for both standard and harsh environment applications.
The MTP®/MPO Shuttered adapter has a spring loaded shutter door that is easy to operate and provides protection from airborne particulates greatly reducing the time required for installation, testing and troubleshooting. A unique O-ring seal design keeps out signal degrading debris from the optics under the most extreme conditions.
"This new shuttered adapter has been requested by data centers and other customers for quite some time" said Nolan Pitts, Key Account Manager for Timbercon. "This adapter will be recommended for installations that require periodic interconnection or reconfiguration."
