TIMBERCON INTRODUCES OPTICAL TEST AND MEASUREMENT MODULE (OTMM)
PORTLAND, OR – January 20, 2004 – Timbercon, Inc., an industry leader in the supply and manufacturing of custom fiber optic products and solutions, introduces the newest addition to the Timbercon family of products, designed to meet customer specified requirements for stand alone and collaborative testing applications.
The Timbercon Optical Test and Measurement Module (OTMM) facilitates the combination of active and passive optical components in single and multi-channel platforms, allowing a high degree of customization for application specific requirements.
Timbercon’s OTMM’s are available in both standard and custom configurations. Ideal as a stand alone unit or used as a component of larger test sets, the (OTMM) can incorporate electronic variable optical attenuators (EVOA’s), manual variable optical attenuators, integrated optical tap(s), and multiple control interfaces with various multi-channel configurations of (1, 2, 4, 8, 16) channels.
Currently the OTMM is used in military and avionics diagnostics testing, with growth expected throughout the complimentary markets. “The OTMM is one of most efficient, cost effective, and advanced solutions for analysis and process control Timbercon has ever offered,” states Eric Meslow, President of Timbercon, Inc. “It is this type of solution that enables our clients to save resources, time, and money by efficiently automating time and precision intensive test processes.”
