Timbercon Receives ITAR Registration

LAKE OSWEGO, OR - September 2, 2008— Timbercon, Inc., a fiber optic product and solution manufacturing company, announced today that they have received their official International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) registration from the US Department of State, Bureau of Political-Military Affairs. This registration documents Timbercon's dedication to adhering to the regulations that control the export and import of defense-related articles and services on the United States Munitions List.

ITAR regulations were designed to control the information and materials of military related technologies and ensure that military technologies are only shared with US persons unless approval from the Department of State is received via a special exemption. The registration of a company to comply with ITAR regulations allows them to work in conjunction with the US military and expresses the company's obligation to handle ITAR protected products according to all regulations.

"Defense and government markets are a significant segment of Timbercon's growth. All of our efforts gaining our ITAR registration, AS9100B, and ISO 9001:2000 certifications demonstrate Timbercon's commitment to being a valued partner in the avionics, aerospace, military, and medical industries," said Jayson Lizardo, Aerospace and Defense Account Manager.
