Copper Loopbacks


HSSDC (High Speed Serial Data Connection) Loopback is a loopback adapter plug for testing and diagnostics with high speed networks and system protocols. Specifically designed to support copper implementation of Fibre Channel and other serial data applications which require extremely high data transfer rates over long distances.

Approved by the ANSI X3T11 committee for Fibre Channel in December 1995, and by the ANSI X3T10.1 for Serial Storage Architecture in September 1996, the interconnection system is also included in the new IEEE 802.3z Gigabit Ethernet standard.


Timbercon HSSDC2 (High Speed Serial Data Connection 2) Loopback is a small, copper-based test fixture, featuring an HSSDC2 interface, rugged metal housing, and quick thumb release lever. Typically used in testing, measurement, and diagnostics applications, these loopbacks support multiple protocols with speeds up to 2.5Gbps.

The HSSDC2 Loopback is an ideal product for use in Fibre Channel and Gigabit Ethernet applications including server I/O chassis, switches, and network adapters for storage arrays.

RJ / RS Series Loopbacks

Timbercon RJ / RS series Loopbacks simulate the behavior of an active network connection or signal. They operate by simply transmitting the Tx signal through a looped connection back to the sending device, or Rx connection. With this loop, the sending device perceives a working connection, allowing the device to be isolated, but remain fully functional.

Ideal for testing, diagnostics, installations, and troubleshooting, these devices are very affordable, and easy to use.
