Product Manager

The Product Manager will provide leadership for specific products or product lines for current and new/developing products. Pro-actively drive the entire product life cycle, including conception, definition, development, release, and post-release activities. Provides management in the planning and design of a product/product family to ensure differentiation from competitors. Establishes business requirements and defines product requirements.

Provides content in the formulation of strategic business plans for a line of products. Formulates tactics to support the growth associated with a product and/or product family. Understands the competitive ecosystem.


General Responsibilities

  • Determine functional requirements, User needs, probable benefits and product feasibility.
  • Ascertain all relevant data structures and linkages as they affect usage requirements. Identify market research requirements, develop research objectives, and coordinate the research effort as it relates to specific programs.
  • Support the development of product business plans and coordinate with engineering and other functional representatives assigned to the product team to define the program objectives as required.
    • Provide continuing product application consultation and support to marketing and the field for products assigned.
    • Participate in trade shows, seminars, or other forums and stay current on product application technology and competitive activity.
  • Manage multiple product lines concurrently.
  • Supports Product Development and carries out product strategy.
  • Demonstrated ability in helping to design and construct new features for products.
  • Quarterly Analysis (for SBR, QBR, etc).
  • Assist with product launches, market messaging, and outbound and inbound communications.
  • Serve as a product expert in educating the sales force about capabilities and demonstration of value.
  • Analyze financial impact of program changes.
  • Coordinate and maintain pertinent product milestone dates.
