  Salary: $19-24 / hour DOE. Pay will be based on
  license/education/skill and ability.

  Work week: Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm.

Our manufacturing facility is hiring a Maintenance and Calibration Technician. The Maintenance and Calibration Technician maintains all plant processes and manufacturing equipment in optimal working order.

  Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
To perform tasks such as but not limited to the research, install, set up, repair, and maintenance on both facility and manufacturing equipment and fixtures in order to optimize the safety and efficiency of Timbercon’s facility.
   • Work both independently and with others in the repair and preventative maintenance.
   • Schedule and document preventative maintenance, repairs, calibration, tests, and procedures on critical facility equipment to meet internal and external standards.
   • Assist engineers with analysis in improving process, equipment dependability, and productivity.
   • Itemize inventory and track location for all plant and manufacturing tools and equipment.
   • Create, maintain and perform maintenance instructions for all equipment.
   • Demonstrate effective housekeeping in the area of work and shop.
   • Observe all safety rules and regulations.
   • Train other technicians and new employees as prescribed by the immediate leadership.
   • Assist coworkers in performing their duties with direction and assistance.
   • Effectively communicate progress and schedule updates with respect to coworkers.
   • To be an active member of the Safety Committee, ensuring safety for all employees throughout the facility.
   • Participate in developing, measuring, meeting or exceeding standards or timetables with each task you perform.
   • Complete various projects and other duties as assigned.

  Desired Qualifications and Skills:
   • Electrical Certification.
   • Technical classes related to the job.
   • Good organizational skills. Excellent English communication skills (verbal, reading, and writing).
   • High School diploma + Associate degree (or higher) in a technical field (such as mechanics or electronics) is highly desirable.
   • Minimum three years mechanic experience; three to five years plant maintenance preferred.
   • Understand basic facilities and infrastructure (chillers, boilers, plumbing, electrical) requirements and operating conditions, perform preventative maintenance as scheduled, repair unscheduled infrastructure as needed to return systems to service and minimize downtime.
   • Skills including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, plumbing and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of manufacturing equipment.
   • Valid Driver’s License.
   • Demonstrated familiarity with common business software applications.
   • Knowledge of common computer-to-equipment interfaces.
   • Understand mechanical assembly drawings and electronic specifications.
   • Assist team members to meet operating objectives incorporating continuous improvements in all processes.
   • Ability to reason through problems and suggest workable solutions.
   • Ability to control and manage diverse priorities and assignments.
   • Knowledge of ISO, Lean and Six Sigma concepts, experience working with computer-based MRP systems, BOM constructions, and change order processing.

   • Duties are performed in a production/warehouse environment where some duties require the use of Personal Protective Equipment.
   • Requires regular standing, sitting, movement, and use of vision abilities.
   • Requires hand eye coordination.
   • A flexible, pro-active, "can-do" attitude.
