General Responsibilities:
- Answer new incoming sales calls, qualify opportunity, quote, and close the sale
- Answer new web leads, qualify opportunity, quote, and close the sale
- Follow-up on existing accounts to obtain new business
- Develop relationships with identified customers to maintain and increase sales
- Assist Key Account Managers with customers and projects
Relationships:
- Works closely with Sales Coordinator & MarCom Coordinator
- Customer Purchasing Departments
- Customer Engineers and Technicians
- Project Management
- Sales Engineering
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong ability to get results and close the sale
- Product knowledge of fiber, connectors, and cables desirable
- Thirst for knowledge and ability to learn
- Strong problem solving skills
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent communication skills—written and verbal
Characteristics:
- Well organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks and to manage time effectively
- Able to handle pressure without letting it detract form the quality of work
- A flexible, pro-active, “can-do” attitude is critical to success
- Self motivated, creative, and able to work with minimal supervision
